No Need For Experts
ASCENT is designed so you can do it all yourself. Use your existing staff to do the course development and administration. Of course, we’re here to help when you need it though.
Flexible and Editable
Courses in ASCENT are not self-contained modules. So any part of any course or exam can be changed as easily as you can change part of your Word document or PowerPoint. In aviation, that's important.
Making a new version of a course is as simple as doing a "save as..." and editing the new copy.
No Equipment, Software, or I.T. Resources To Worry About
No part of ASCENT requires downloading software or applets. It’s firewall safe and does not require I.T. resources.
It functions with all browsers on all computers. Users with a nine year old computer running Netscape on a dial-up connection will have no problems, nor will users on the newest, most secure workstations have any difficulties.

Yes, You Can Afford It
The all-inclusive cost of the entire system, including hosting, technical support, upgrades, and maintenance is about the same as one cup of coffee per employee per month. That also includes set-up, customizing, system training, and your own customized log-in site.
It’s an annual subscription to the system, because it’s an all-inclusive hosted service.

Tech Talk
ASCENT is designed for typical aviation workplace staff to use. However, for those of you who are into the e-Learning jargon:
ASCENT is a Learning Management System (LMS), a Learning Content Management System (LCMS), Training Management System (TMS), Training Software, e-Learning Platform, Learning Environment, and Online Learning Solution for Distance Learning and Distance Education delivery. It has Course Content Authoring capabilities, Course Authoring Module, Courseware Development & Management capabilities, Quiz Editor, Exam Editor (for editing reviews and tests), Assessment Tools, Sharable Content Objects Compatibility, and Records Management all included. It works fine for aggregate, blended, collaborative, synchronous and asynchronous learning.
